ECU Coding re-flashes vehicle control modules, allowing reprogramming of adaptive data for components after repairs or replacements. This addresses issues related to driveability, fuel efficiency, power loss, fault codes, and mechanical part durability.

2) Actuation Test (Bi-Directional Control)

The LAUNCH X431 PRO3S+ V5.0 features full bi-directional control, enabling commands to be sent directly to vehicle systems or components. This allows verification of system input/output without using the vehicle’s physical controls—such as turning on the radiator fan, modulating the throttle, operating windows and mirrors, performing Injector Buzz Tests, controlling interior/exterior lights, sounding the horn, and testing door lock actuators.

2. FUEL INJECTOR CODING: Codes new injector numbers when replacing injectors.
3. BRAKE RESET: Deactivates/activates brake control system, assists with brake fluid control, and operates brake pads.
4. SAS RESET: Calibrates steering angle sensor and clears records.
5. BAT RESET: Evaluates battery charge state, monitors closed-circuit current, and registers battery replacement.
6. ABS BLEEDING: Bleeds brake system when air is present in ABS to restore sensitivity.
7. ELEC. THROTTLE RLRN: Initializes throttle actuators to reset ECU “learned” values to default.
