Active Test (Bi-Directional Control) with Lifetime Free Updates

The Ediag Elite features Bi-Directional Control, allowing it to perform Active Tests to access vehicle-specific subsystems and component tests. The scanner sends commands to the ECU to drive actuators, helping to determine the integrity of a system or part by reading ECU data or monitoring the actuator's operation. For example, you can activate relays, injectors, and coils, or perform system tests like opening an EGR valve to observe the change in idle response and oxygen sensor voltage.

15 Common Maintenance & Reset Functions (Lifetime Free)

Please note: Not all 15 reset functions are compatible with all cars. To confirm compatibility, please send your car's VIN and the required function to us for verification.

1. Oil Reset Service

Allows you to perform a reset for the Engine Oil Life system, which calculates an optimal oil life change interval depending on the vehicle driving conditions and climate.

2. Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Service

Helps clear the fault steering angle sensor memories and plays an important role in the steering angle sensor calibration.

3. ABS Bleeding

Perform ABS brake bleeding to get a firm brake pad after air exhaustion following a repair of the ABS pump system.

4. Injector Coding

Code new injector numbers to replace the previous one when fitting the new injectors or after the replacement is completed.

5. DPF Regeneration

Specially works for Diesel Particulate Filter system with DPF regeneration, DPF component replacement teach-in and DPF teach-in after replacing the engine control unit.

6. Throttle Adaptation

The throttle body is a tube containing a pivoting flat valve (butterfly) that is used to control the amount of air entering an engine. It must need re-learning throttle sensor position after clearing or repair.

7. Sunroof Reset

The sunroof memory generally needs to be reset when the vehicle’s battery is replaced or the car dies.

8. Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) Reset

Makes sense in displaying sensor IDs from the vehicle's ECU, inputting TPMS sensor replacement IDs and testing sensors.

9. Battery (BAT) Service

Allows the scan tool to evaluate the battery charge state, monitor the close-circuit current, register the battery replacement, and activate the rest state of the vehicle.

10. Anti-theft (IMMO) Matching

1. Download and install the "Ediag" app from Google Play or the App Store. Sign up for a new account and log in.
2. Activate the device in the "Ediag" app by binding the serial number.
3. Plug the KINGBOLEN Ediag Elite dongle into your vehicle’s 16-pin OBD2 Data Link Connector and turn on the vehicle.
4. Tap the "Me/Setting" button in the app to pair the KINGBOLEN Ediag Elite with your smartphone via Bluetooth.

1. CAN FD Protocol Support

The Ediag Elite is one of the few scanners in its price range compatible with the CAN-FD protocol, supporting the latest GM vehicles manufactured after 2020. It adopts advanced CRC algorithms to accommodate more data (from 8 to 64 bytes) in the CAN frame, running faster and reducing the risk of undetected errors. (Requires purchase of a separate CAN FD Adapter).
