Lifetime Free Software Updates

1. Download the upgrade program from www.anceltech.com to a Windows 10 computer.
2. Connect the reader to the Windows 10 computer via a mini USB cable.
3. Select the ABOUT/Update Mode menu to enter update mode.
4. Launch the update program on the Windows 10 computer and select the appropriate port.
5. Click the Start Upgrade button to begin the update.
6. Upon completion, a confirmation prompt appears. The new version number can be viewed in the ABOUT/Tool Information menu.

Recovery Instructions for Interrupted Updates

If an update is interrupted and the system crashes, re-enter update mode using these steps:

1. Disconnect the USB cable, power off the reader, then press and hold the Enter key.
2. Reconnect the reader to the Windows 10 computer via the mini USB cable.
3. Release the Enter key when all three indicator lights illuminate—this re-enters update mode.
